This restaurant deserves to be regarded as one of the best in San Francisco. Impossible to fault. My personal view of perfection. The decor IS very tasteful and the aquariums ARE breathtaking. Nestled next to the lights of the Oakland bay bridge the view was spectacular at night. The service is excellent. The menu is divided into two menus... shell or no shell! Its the freshest seafood Ive had and was prepared and presented beautifully. Congratulations to the chef. I highly recommend this restaurant..

Service excellence defines this restaurant. I have to say that no matter who attended to our table, we were in extremely competent hands. Everything appeared to work like clockwork. Ambiance in the main dining was lovely, a large vertical aquarium to our left and one further back at 5 o'clock. Crab was certainly special as was the wine list. Presentation was picture perfect, mains through dessert and coffee. Breathtaking view of the Bay Bridge as the sun set. The nectarine, arugula, honey, cherry, prosciutto (with a hint of ginger salad was particularly memorable; I have never tasted a nectarine as fresh and as juicy as the one that delicately placed throughout this salad. I could have ended my meal at that point and been entirely satisfied with my evening at Waterbar..

Lovely oceanic view with good arrangement of tables outside is a great thing to this waterbar. I had a shorbet and had a house made chocolates here, as I was invited for a party. I like this place due to lovely view and good arrangements been made for the customers. I see they are stocks great variety of wines n scoth here . A good place especially all the day.

Great Experience. We had a wonderful dinner last night at Waterbar. I requested a nice table (I had called in advance that day, reservations were made about 10 days prior) as we were celebrating my dad's 75th birthday. We were given a great table by the window and the staff went above and beyond to treat us so very nicely. Rich, the general manager, came to our table a couple of times to make sure we had what we needed and to acknowledge our special event. The food (Ono, Swordfish, Steak, Oysters) was all very good. I will be coming back when I am in town again!.

Great place for an upscale, yet laid back dinner or just a few drinks. The bar is welcoming with great happy hour oysters. It's pricey, but it's worth it. 16 Jul, 2013 An absolutely great place! Gorgeous view. Fantastic view of the Bay bridge. Excellent variety of seafood dishes. Our table tried oysters, yellowtail jack, mackerel, sea bass, pasta, trout and octopus. Each dish was nicely presented and we were all pleased with our choices..
