I've been slacking on my posts. Haven't been dining out as much but I need to get back on my game. Have you ever been to a really good high end restaurant with good decor, service, great food, and overall very good experience only afterwards to think ... "that was great, but not sure if rush to go back when there are so many other dining options."? Well this is that place. I have zero complaints. Food was great and our server was just about as good as they could possibly be. I guess my hiccup is at this price point ($46 for main) I somehow expect more. My crab salad was delicious. The holiday inspired desserts were playful and exactly what I was in the mood for, to crave my sweet tooth. But dang this place is pricey. A treat for us, but not a normal night out. I guess I'd like to put these funds towards other establishments at this level..

Really good food. I had the crab and avocado mousse salad and the pork chops. I think that the pork was the best I ever had - cooked perfectly. Service was great, too. I definitely recommend..

Great evening. Lovely room with great service and a helpful sommelier. Fiddlehead pasta, swordfish and a cheese course were all excellent. Highly recommend..

Where's the beef. Wow. What a disappointment. Heard so much about the burger. It's a very small burger. Meat itself tastes good and is cooked to temperature desired. But the burger is dominated by the roll and tomato. Not much tastier than a nice home cooked burger on the grill. Hard to get a table. Call to be sure they will serve you the burger at a dinner table. Loved the fries. Desert was not memorable..

Striking Gold in the Dining Mine. These guys seem like they've been around for a cool little minute, so it was nice to see that they are still going about it like they have something to prove. The bar setting is impressive...high ceilings, big glass, good light fixtures and plenty of Match.com first drink dates. Fortunately, the cocktail program makes the crowd watching a bit less painful...I know, welcome to happy hour in the financial district. The dining room is massive yet still welcomes you. I couldn't see a bad table in it. While the room felt sleek but warm, the food also follows that dichotomy. Metroyeoman?.. Rustichic?.. Farm to Finance? Whatever term you drop it all works. Serious plates that don't get lost by trying too hard or lack of balance. The Head to Hoof feature was obscene elegance-crispy trotter croquette with shaved ear and arugula. The menu is well inspired but don't fight the feeling if your entree selection is a toss-up between the pork or chicken. Service was friendly, smart, efficient, professional, with just the right manager touches (thanks Sarah) to deliver a complete and memorable experience..
