Gabe and Billy saving nights out in SF.. We really loved Terroir. It reminded us of several favourite spots in London and Paris that we enjoy drinking at. The wines are well chosen and balanced well, the first night we shared a beautiful Riesling which complimented SFs beautiful weather. The cheeses and meats are excellent particularly a lovely Comte. The second night we returned after a terrible meal at the Slanted Door as we felt the wine at Terroir could possibly save the evening, we were not disappointed. A steely glass of Chablis revived us from our ordeal and then we went onto a rather good 1er cru chambolle musigny 2006 which was wonderful. We sat at the bar and chatted to those around being made to feel like locals completely welcomed. If you like good wines in a laid back environment this is your place. Loved that the sound track to the evening was all on vinyl..
