Good Sandwich - Friendly Service. This is a review of lunch from Chez Fayala (07.25.11) Service - The staff was friendly. It was easy to make my order. The food was prepared pretty quickly. Steaket Fromage ($8.99 Marinated and grilled sliced steak with aioli, bell peppers, onion, cheese topped with baby spinach) I ordered mine on a French baguette, The sandwich was first placed in a oven and then placed on the panini grill. Lol, at least I am pretty sure it was. This was a good sandwich. I think it had a few too many red peppers and a few too many greens. But that was easy enough to fix. Also, the meat was not sliced steak. For my sandwich, it was more like roast beef. This wasn't deli sliced style. But more like the roast beef your mom used to make that was braised for hours. The roll was a nice crusty baguette. It was a nice fit for the sandwich. It tasted pretty good. The ingredients were fresh. The sandwich comes with your choice of a side of greens or Caesar salad. I went with the Caesar. It was a romaine lettuce mix with Caesar dressing. It was simple. But the lettuce was fresh and crisp. Price - It came in at a little over $13. So, it wasn't inexpensive. I did get a bag of chips which I did not eat or need. For the price, I received the sandwich w salad, a drink (Vitamin Water), and a bag of chips. Overall - This was a pretty good sandwich. The service was friendly. This is a place geared for carry-out. There buffet by weight is a big part of their business. I did not try it..
