Bustling and surrounded by everyone who wanted to escape the cold, Excelsior Jones is a haven for those who are looking for a decent cafe in Ashfield.. We ordered coffees promptly from Campos, which was the usual high standard .The lunch we ordered we good, fresh and hearty. Ordered a vege bowl which came w corn fritters, avocado and kale.Everything was good, except that it was a bit pricey.
This busy cafe is situated near residential homes in Ashfield. The atmosphere is casual with indoor and outdoor seating. I was impressed with the brunch menu here! I tried the Spanish Chorizo with baked egg and the House Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict . The smoked salmon was actually the salmon fillet, not the slices and was soft in texture, my fav out of the two. The Spanish chorizo was quite strong on flavour, with cumin and paprika spices. We also ordered the Watermelon, pineapple and mint juice which was a special on the day, very refreshing! I would come back here again to brunch!
