This beachfront fish n chips joint appears ordinary but delivers a gourmet cuisine second to none! The Tempura and Salt n paper oysters melt in your palette.
Visited 26/6/16 and had the crumbed blue eye trevalla (which was recommended to me) chips and salad and it did not disappoint. The salad was fresh and zesty and was also a highlight. The fish was just beautiful. A pity we don’t get it in WA. very nice
Amazing salt and pepper calamari salad – the most tender calamari I’ve ever had and the coating was superb – very happy! Salad and dressing was nice and fresh
Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Salad was fresh and crisp with a hint of dressing. The fish was soft and moist, not cooked within an inch if it’s life. Chips were crisped and not hard. Not an expensive place to get dinner. They care about the meals and not the dollar which is refreshing. Great.
Restaurant was nicely located, right next to the beach. Service was great, the staff were very friendly. Food was quite a letdown. Ordered the fish frenzy, unfortunately didn’t realise every piece of seafood came crumbed rather than battered. The food was overcooked and along with no seasoning at all really let the food down. The tartare is really funky too.
Been here over the years and am travelling here regularly , the service here is good and friendly and is almost always open, which is an issue in Tasmania in general. The oysters here have always been very good. The fish frenzy pack is by far the best value assorted crumbed fish and chips pack almost anywhere for that price. Their breakfasts are also very good and the octopus salad is tasty. They have a nice range of beers and alcohol. They may suffer sometimes with being busy, but you know this is because it’s popular and provides a high and consistent service.
