This restaurant has delicious steak and very friendly staff. Since Devonport has very little restaurants, Dannebrog is a great pick. The scotch filet is of good quality and I would presume the eye filet is even better. I would avoid the rump steak unless you like tough meat. The potatoes skins were also very good. This place needs more credit. Greats staff and good food! I highly recommend.
Dined here a couple of times now, the eye fillet is good quality meat, cooked well. Service is efficient without being amazing.I would say prices are on the high side, but all in all, if you are after a solid well cooked meal in a family friendly environment, give these guys a go!
Great. Had the pork. Succulent and juicy. Staff are great. Well done my only criticism is the chairs could be more comfortable. All in all a great little place
Went here for my birthday and the steak is really juicy and tender. the waitstaff is friendly as well. Went back the next day and everything gets better and better. going back to Melbourne now but I’m sure not going to forget their steaks.
Eye Fillet. Steak was cooked dreadful which was annoying seeing all steaks on the menu are described how you would like them cooked. Asked for ours to be medium and they arrived rare needless to say they were wasted. Not very good seeing as one can leave comments on the internet. Would not return again.
Great steaks lousy veggies. We went here for tea on a Fri night. Got in early no booking (actually couldn’t find them in the yellow pages so couldn’t book!) and by the time we left the place was busy with a few large tables of family groups. Not really the place for aromantic couples night but definitely family frenzy. Our waitress was lovely- suggesting we order before the big tables to ensure a speedy meal. Which we did and service was fast.We all ordered steaks. Eye fillets. Tender and cooked superbly. Sauces were ok, nothing flash. Veggies were a disappointment. Frozen not fresh and very very cold. No point having a sign on the window stating you support Simplot by using their veggies when they aren’t cooked properly.Having said that the little spuds were cooked fine and those of us who had chips & salad were happy as!Please note: Simplot is the local vegetable harvester / producer/ manufacturer and currently on shaky financial grounds. It employs a lot of locals so I applaud the concept, just doesn’t do anyone any favours when the veggies are still frozen / near frozen.Overall the steaks were so good that we would (and have) reccomend/ed this place. If back in Tassie happy to return!
