I’m totally shocked to read so many negative reviews, as our experience was fantastic. We had wonderful service and all dishes were delicious. Favourite dishes at our table were the cumin lamb, and the eggplant dish (can’t remember the name). Thanks for a wonderful night!
Rude waiter cold food. High price but worst than no service. No point to waste any money for the restaurant than a beggar.
Bad experience. Sizzling lamb wasn’t zizzling, pork belly was dry and hard like jerk, big price small portion, some of the staff not really helpful. Not value for money and poor service. Much better experience down the road in a thai restaurant.
We went to Mu Lan on Sunday night, it was one of those places that has been around for a while and we had never got around to trying. In short, we liked it. Good first impressions with modern decor with a Chinese theme, lovely light fittings and back lit timber screens. Lots of booth type seating which is great for a bit of privacy.Nice friendly service. Not a huge wine list but certainly adequate. The menu was interesting and I think very reasonably priced. Entrees were about $12 – $15 and mains $22 – $30.We had steamed buns with pork, prawn and spring onion for starters then Kung Pow chicken and Scallops in XO sauce for mains. All dishes were tasty and nicely presented. Service and timing was spot on.Our bill came to $90 with 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine. I would return.
Mixed Reviews. Personal I really enjoyed my meal , every one else on the table was 50/50 about theirs , I had crispy chicken for entree and was cooked beautifully with a great sweet soy sauce , my bbq pork bun was good but not great , they cook with north china style food , my sweet sour pork was delicious , fillets of crumbed pork with a perfectly balanced sauce . However other people on the table didn’t like the duck said it was cooked then reheated when ordered and it was dry, the other pork dish had no less than 25 whole chillies on the plate lol , they said it was more for show 🙂 anyways service was excellent , service quick , decor modern and warm and u can ask for no msg in your meal ,. 🙂
It sucks. Dont go. The chicken was frozen when served. The peking duck was horrible. Extremely rude service. The manager was a dick.
The Best Chinese We were do…. The Best ChineseWe were doubt when we booked because of the different reviews. However the doubts were all gone when we join Mu Lan by their warm greeting and amazing food. We choose banquet for four. The eggplant was really yum that we were all refreshed after that fish. We shared the four mains and there was a short break between the each. The wine list was so reasonable and byo is also allowed. If u was disappointed the first time, give them another try. Mu LAN is worth to try!
