I don’t think these guys were having a good night, was disappointed considering the place has a 4+ star review and hopefully just went on an off night. The waitress was great and attentive but overall the prices for food do not reflect the kitchen staffs level of experience and service. We had a pretty long wait (close to an hour) for our mains when it didn’t seem too busy for not overly complicated dishes. Love the open kitchen design but there was no atmosphere when there was no music near the kitchen and all that can be heard is Kitchen orders and issues going on for the night. The produce itself was beautiful just a few too many problems on the night.
This place is one of my most favourite restaurants , food is so delicious , come here a least once a month, never disappoints , lamb cutlets is my favoured dish, my other half loves the mixed grill,
A very friendly place to go eat. My table all got steaks (which they all loved!) and I got the ribs and chicken combo. Ribs were amazing, chicken was a little different. They have an amazing side dish with mushrooms that you must order!! It’s amazing!
I ordered from the previous review ,but I changed the pork rib to entree size with the spicy chicken wings.Actually the spicy sauce is a bit weird. Otherwise, the meats are good and the quality of service is excellent
Had the pork ribs and 300g scotch. Both were delicious. Rib meat was fall off the bone. Sauce was sticky and sweet. Steak was tender, juicy with good charring for smokey flavour. Mashed potato sides was a nice accompaniment and so was the apple cabbage salad. Only let down was seasonal green side dish. They were steamed which is fine when I’m cooking myself at home but I expected some seasoning/ flavouring from a restaurant. Service was excellent.
Great food and really good portions, but you’re sure to pay for it. Perhaps a little expensive, but worth the experience. Staff were super friendly and attentive. We only had one minimal complaint – we assumed that the mains did not come with a side (given it didn’t indicate so), and we unnecessarily ordered a side between us. My only suggestion for management: let customers know what a meal is served with! Would definitely recommend Roaring Grill if you’re after a relaxing experience with some excellent food to go with it.
Very good food, although not probably as good as the price tag would suggest. Had the Ribeye on The Bone, ordered is as medium-rare and specified for it to be on the rarer side. It was significantly over cooked and I’m not sure it was the quality of beef that I am used to in Tassie. Service was good, attentive yet not intrusive. Decor was so-so.
