A cute find in Oatlands – chicken crepe was satisfying. Kids had the pancakes which were huge! They are super light & fluffy but unfortunately too much jam on top of it spolied it (too sweet).I would go back for crepes next time i am in oatlands.
Fantastic service; it was attentive, prompt and welcoming. This is exactly what you want as a traveler. They had a wealth of local knowledge about the historic town of Oatlands too.I recommend the pancake with poached fruit- delicious! And yes, their coffee and tea hit the spot. We stopped in on our way from Launceston to Hobart.As far as ambiance, it’s warm, cosy and decorated nicely inside. The old stone building is very sweet.
I had the Berry Delight and was underwhelmed. It was 1 single pancake covered in thawed out berries and a thick gelatenous jelly/sauce. The coffee was ok, but was the only shining light in the experience.
Pancakes were over cooked on the bottom. Coffee good.
