  Detour cafe. These people that have written reviews must work for the opposition. We don’t have restrictions on where you can eat, we serve quality food not the rubbish that is available elsewhere. We have a variety of menu’s that cater for many tastes We always greet people with a smile and courtesy as it is a husband and wife team. We don’t put this much effort into building a business to have to put up with lying rubbish from people that have vested interests or are just plain stupid. COME AND TRY FOR YOURSELVES

  Nice try. Hard to miss as you leave town. Presents as clean, friendly staff. Can’t eat takeaway inside and can’t order from te takeaway menu if dining in, which is frustrating in the rain. Ordered a fish burger – very small, but came with a nice bun, thoughtful composition of flavours, with a lovely rotten lettuce leaf smack bang in the middle. I won’t be back. Try the diner over the road.

  Unfortunately won’t visit again. Good atmosphere, clean dinning environment and toilet, seafood option is nice, overall taste is good.But had to talk to the only waitress who had no smile, didn’t even say Hi, refused any flexibility on orders, managed to get the order wrong on less than a handful of dishes.Weird two separated menus: one for dinning in and one for takeaway. Can’t have take away menu in the cafe.The very basics: had to ask for water.Not worth the detour at all. Orford, such a lovely small town, deserves better…
