Went here on a Saturday night in winter and it was dead we were not sure to stay or bit it when we walked in the phone was ringing off the hook with orders so we confident. The servings are massive and very reasonable priced. Recommended!
We visited Scorchers in our travels through Tassie and when we looked at the menu and the hand-made, wood-fired descriptions we are keen to eat there! The first two pizzas we tried to order were not available (sad face) so it was hard to figure out what to buy after that. We opted for a scallop pizza and custom pizza suggested by the waiter. Scorchers is obviously a popular place (it was packed when we were there)! The wait staff and (I think it was) the owner were very nice and approachable and working hard to cope with the busy restaurant. And our drinks were great! See you next time.. foodiemookie.com
Pretty good pizza for a tiny holiday town. Friendly service somewhat makes up for a lack of atmosphere, but it’s still the standout in the area.
Staff here are absolutely lovely and friendly, felt very welcomed here. Location is situated just across from the river which provides a nice backdrop to a meal or coffee had al fresco.
Amazing. We walked in having no hope in a small country town in holiday season (when everybody seems more busy relaxing than properly attending tourists), guess what? Very good and perfectly cooked pizzas. Plenty of flavour, crispy vegetables, thin crust, delicious tomato base and yummy smoked salmon. Excellent service, every waiter and waitress with a smile and willing to help. The Riesling house wine was cheap but great quality. For dessert they struggled as the holiday season wiped out their stock. However, they pulled a delicious cake out of the blue. Amazing is the only word to describe this place.
Spent a night in the small town where driving north along the east coast, surprised by the good quality of the pizza in this restaurant. All good.
We had a table booking for a large group (The lady we rude when taking the booking too!). We were ignored for 10 minutes before we told them that we were ready to order. 10 minutes later, we were still ignored. Other tables that were later than us were already served and some already got their food. We had to walk away, very disappointing service!
