My family has gone here since before I can remember, so I stopped in with my dad last time I visited Hobart. The steaks were delicious but unfortunately quite fatty, I had to eat around a lot of it. A shame because the food was really tasty. Service was fast for a Saturday lunch. It does look like it has been a fair few years since they last renovated.
Dined at Cascade Hotel with 3 work colleagues on Tuesday evening, the Cascade used to be an old favourite with the quality of steaks first rate however the Hotel seems to have fallen off the pace since my last visit, 3 of us had the mixed grill that was lacking a few mixed grill basics and fried eggs that were so bad that they were almost unrecognisable The 4th diner had the steak that received no kudos The beers on tap are fairly limited but supplemented by packaged beer All in all an average experience
