Cute little place on our trip back to Hobart airport. We had Ruben toasted sandwiches. The service was quick and pretty friendly which is nice for a country town with tourists coming through.
OMG…. … Possibly the worst greeting and service we have received in Tassie. Food and coffee was average but overshadowed by the rude staff. We stopped for lunch with two young children. We wonder if the reception may have been different if we didn’t have the kids (who were really well behaved, by the way). A grunt toward the menu, a grunt towards the napkins and a key to collect to use the toilet. Not a thank you in sight. My husband and I looked at each when we got in the car and just started laughing, we couldn’t believe this place is still in operation. Go somewhere else!
We had a delicious lunch served quickly, presented beautifully. We can recommend the pork and quince sausage roll and the toasted turkey, aubergine, cheese and capsicum on rye. The latter came with a colourful salad , ( well dressed ). The coffee was good too.
Not good value at all. Grumpy staff, slow service. I received a microwaved pie after 30 minutes and paid $2.00 to use a glass for the wine! No selection by the glass – only bottles. Go elsewhere !!
Lovely surprise. Great selection of cakes and pastries and good coffee plus a small gallery and shop.
Hidden Treasure. This gallery/cafe is an amazing find in the small village of Triabunna, near Hobart. The have amazing coffee, Zendfelds Australian grown from the Byron Bay hinterland. The food too is excellent and locally sourced.
Good selection of tasty rolls that looked and tasted fresh. Service was friendly but very average as there were a few tables that hadn’t been cleared and wiped down when we arrived. Coffee is better than at Scorchers next door but still very ordinary. It was however better than the coffee we had earlier in Sorell that was truly awful 🙂 It’s a good place to stop for lunch.
