My score 4 stars.  J & I got TA dinner from here last Thu while visiting my mom (some of her friends had recommended it).  A newly opened place away from the shopping/food precinct, handy for people in the west of Bairnsdale.  Nice clean & simple interior, with a few tables inside & one picnic table outside (which people were eating at).  The owners are the chef & front of house – they were very welcoming (& helpful with all my questions about the menu).  We had:  Spring rolls > Quite large, obviously home made, generous filling (plenty of meat for those inclined – my mom enjoyed them especially).  Stir fried veg > A plentiful mix (inc. capsicum, green beans, baby corn & bean shoots, et al) in oyster sauce – hard to fault as a side dish (or as a main for vegetarians – maybe with some tofu added?).  Thai chicken fried rice > Very good!  A fragrant mix of chicken plus al dente veg amongst the rice – a complete meal (I especially liked the tomato pieces).  The chicken was perfect – charry & smoky from the wok on the outside & moist on the inside (yum).  Thai pork noodles > Plenty of meat with soft wide rice noodles coated in a nice mild gravy (I would get them to spice it up a bit next time).  Often these type of noodles stick together once they are in a TA container, but these were beautifully separate.  Overall > Very nice food & very good value!  Their TA containers (which were full) were bigger than most TA places use these days (we had plenty of leftovers), plus their prices are cheap.  Win win!!!  Update Feb 2019 – Returned & had mixed entree – Chicken satay > nice, perhaps a bit much cumin? (not sure what it was) in marinade.  Pork satay > really good (tasty).  Peanut sauce was nice.  Spring rolls > good again (sweet chilli sauce nice).  Thai fried rice > Still good.  Perhaps veg were a touch too chunky & not enough tomato for me this time. Although I got chilli added, I would ask for even MORE next time.  TA container was stuffed full once again!
