Why is this a 3?? I have no idea. I look at previous reviews that are all 4s and 5s and see only one low score by some whinger. The food here is authentic and tasty and beautifully plated. The staff are friendly, its family run but they try their best to make everyone welcome. This is a place where once you try it you will feel a part of it. I hope my review can help 🙂
I ordered a whole bunch of dishes, including the vegetarian dumplings, tofu, and broccoli. It was hit and miss. Some dishes I enjoyed, others were ordinary or verging on the unpleasant side. I found that overall the food was very oily and far too salty. It did make it quite heavy and difficult to finish. The thing I enjoyed most would probably be the tofu (but that was really oily too). I dont think I would go back because the oil and salt levels were off-putting.
Inedible. Ordered the lunch special (pork & fried rice) and the limited strips of pork tasted and looked like it had been made weeks ago. The fried rice was certainly not fresh either. Wasnt expecting to be ripped off by a lunch special but certainly was. Wouldve returned had I not got take away.
This little chinese restaurant located on Lygon street serves really interesting chinese dishes. It seems like a family own business and has a friendly vibe to it.
We had the grilled fish, tea smoked duck and lamb ribs with lemon glaze. They were overall quite good, especially the ribs. It was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The flavouring was really tasty and delicious. It is a little over priced though, a whole snapper costs $58, which is way higher than most restaurants with similar quality.
