Had a wonderful meal at Donninis. The pasta was perfect and the bruschetta was delicious. The service was excellent. Will definitely be back again.
Excellent customer service. Pasta tastes good but nothing too special, which is a bit disappointing. The highlight is the Brussel sprouts. However I did expect more for the pasta after reading all the comments.
Visiting from Perth and came on recommendations from friends. My partner and I shared – focaccia bread, lasagna and the tortellini mascarpone. Everything was amazing! The lasagna is was the best Ive had in a long time and the pasta was like soft pillows of heaven. Yum!
We come here often – the food and service are consistently of a higher standard. Yet to be disappointed. The 3 pastas – tris di pasta donnini – must be their signature dish: perfect pastas.
Loved everything about this place, is well known and have heard all good things. The stand out was the trio pasta which gave so much variety and different texture to the dish.
Ordered:
Linguine: southern qld prawns, organic garlic, wild rocket, tomato, chilli ($28.90)
Tris di pasta donnini: gnocchi al pomodoro, tortellini di ricotta con mascarpone, tagliatelle al ragu nostro ($28)
Review:Overall, it was expensive for the small amount of quantity of food (we were still a little hungry) but the quality and variety we got from the tris di pasta was very good.
Clearly, my favourite was the tris di pasta for the wide variety and its individual creamy delicious flavours while my mate liked the linguine (because of the masterchef episode).
They were super generous with the parmesan as well – especially when we told them we loved a lot of cheese.
Don’t need to book on a weekday dinner, you can definitely walk in. The atmosphere is more high end, with a hint of fine dining, but nothing that you need to be overly self conscious about.
I dont often give 5* but this place deserves it. Good honest clean fresh Italian food. Great service and at a wonderful price. We are planning to go back many times to eat the entire menu!
