Came here for a Team Dinner a while back, got served with some seriously yummy pastas and pizzas!
Obviously we then proceeded to drink most of the wine.

    Love it!

A casual dining place at the top end of Lygon street with a cosy, vibrant dining area downstairs and a quieter section upstairs. We came for dinner at about 8pm on a Saturday night and were seated upstairs straight away. We ordered the Fettucine al Ragu, the Crispy skin wild Barramundi and some Chianti to wash it down with.

With a soft spot for ragu and having read all the great reviews about this place I was really excited to try the fettucine al ragu. I however was really disappointed, the fettucine was over-cooked and the beef dry. The ragu itself was bland and lacked depth and flavour. For an Italian place in the heart of Lygon Street I was really disappointed with this plate of pasta.

The Crispy skin Barramundi on the contrary was well cooked and full of flavour. The skin was very crispy and was paired beautifully with the pea puree and sauted mushrooms. The caviar added another textural element to the dish and truly made it pop. An excellent dish!

Although the atmosphere and staff were friendly and welcoming, the food left me disappointed!
Considering that there are many other Italian places on Lygon street I won’t be rushing back to this one any time soon.
