This place is a joke to indian food. We asked for samosa and these cheeky cheats got burnt, oily ready made mini samosa. Guess they are from the frozen packed selves. They charged $6.50 which is not worth 1/4 the price. Never visit. Worst indian restaurant in Australia.
Dined here recently for lunch. Â It was rather quiet and the venue is BIG — almost too big (but perhaps it gets much busier at night?).The meals were excellent and prepared to a good standard — nothing flashy or spectacular, but good, honest and reliable food. Â Our group enjoyed an excellent Beef Korma and Chicken Akbari, with a rather nice selection of entrees – Samosas and tasty morsels of fish (Fish Amritsari).The somewhat negative reviews on Zomato date from a few years back, and I don’t think reflect the current standard of this very nice Indian restaurant. Â I’ll be back!
Having recently moved to Hamilton, we ordered Indian from the Curry Bowl. Chicken Saag, whose colour was suspiciously like re-invented Tandoori chicken, had a sauce of a heat unknown in my history of consuming Saag and lacking any hint of spinach. Next was the Beef Korma, concocted from 15 year old bull added at the last minute, whose sauce was actually quite good. We also ordered the Butter Chicken, which was sickly sweet with palm sugar and lacking any other flavour. The bread was also a disappointment; but we have been spoilt by my husband’s bread making skills of recent years. We won’t bother wasting over $50 on such an incredibly disappointing and inauthentic meal again.
