Le Chix, the St Leonards Chicken shop, the chips are great and the roast chickens are nice… And then there is everything else that is crap. I like the previous reviewers am a local and was excited for the opening of a chicken shop, I went during the first week and excused the service and poor quality of food however I have since been time and time again only to experience terrible customer service and below average and under cooked food, the staff are incompetent and struggle to to use the till and don’t even try to ask for variations and make sure you read you receipt after ordering as it will usually be wrong. Expect a wait time of at least 20-30 minutes. Then there is the menu, at first it seems good a tad expensive but a large variety… Until you try to order something and get told ‘we don’t have that at the moment’ or’ we don’t have that in yet’ don’t have that in yet? They have been open for months now. If you insist on going here I wouldn’t recommend getting anything but chips and possibly a roast chicken, everything else needs some major work.

Went to Le Chix for the first time this evening for some takeaway. Great service & value for money and very generous serving sizes.
A fantastic addition to St Leonards!
I expected chicken and chips take away and was pleasantly surprised to get a lot more. Service was friendly and quick and neat modern decor as we ate in. – more than what you get at standard takeaway. Chicken was fresh and nice spices. Chips and gravy were crispy- not the soggy mush you often get. And lots of choices in salads- pasta pesto salad rated particularly good in our group. Other salads fresh.not a fancy restaurant but for late yummy food would return.

Not False…. Contrary to RicciRiccarod’s comments that my previous review was ‘FALSE’….this is not the case. I too am a local and the point of my review did not revolve around the ‘nuggets’ issue. One could quite easily suspect, given his clear bias against other local businesses such as the pub, the fish and chip shops etc that RicciRiccardo may well be an owner/operator of Le Chix. Everything in my previous review was %100 percent factual.

Terrible in so many ways. Went in on a relatively quiet Sunday afternoon. Staff member who served me was exceptionally rude, un-kempt, un-helpful and un-able to work the till. After asking for a small serve of chicken nuggets for my two year old son I was abruptly told that ‘na – we don’t have any, we was sooo busy last night’. Great a chicken shop with no chicken nuggets, which was basically the only thing on the menu for small children. After ordering the rest of my take-away which included a couple of ‘gourmet’ burgers and a large chips and gravy plus a so-called ‘junior’ burger I sat and waited…and waited….and waited…and well you get the picture 47 minutes later my food arrived. The junior burger was an adult burger slapped together because apparently they had no small rolls, all the chicken was thin, super dry and tasteless. The toppings were not as described, with one burger missing 3 of the advertised ingredients. Before leaving a strange woman came out from the back room, gave me a voucher for %20 off my NEXT order and abruptly told me to ‘make sure you come back and use it’ Add to the fact that this meal cost nearly $40…….never ever again.
VERY GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE. Previous review is false, if you want nuggets go to the pub.This place is exactly what st leonards needs.Im a local and so far this is the best st leonards has.Give it try for your self keep away from pub,pizza shop and fish an chips shop. Keep it g uys
