Not sure why there is so much negativity in the reviews for this place, I’m assuming it must be the usual City Slickers coming down the coast expecting Brunswick quality everything.
Not being from St. Leonards myself, today was the first time I visited Le Chix and I was very impressed. For starters they only use Lilydales Free Range for all their chicken. Which is morally amazing, and it also tastes better.
They also have an array of fresh salads and the usual chips, gravy chicken combos as well as wraps, burgers, wings etc.
The setting is nice but what I was most impressed with was that there was a young, new girl working there who was obviously very nervous and lacked confidence. One of the older female staff members wasn’t so patient with her, but the older male owner (I assume) supported her and I over heard him giving her confidence tips etc. He also came and had chat to me about my leg (I was in a moon boot). Seems like a nice dude.
My wrap and wings were pretty rad too.
I’ll definitely be coming back.
Take it as it is: a chicken shop, but I think you’ll be pleasantly spirited.
