Surprised by the excellent service and great food. Everything from beginning till the end was great. The sizzling shrimp, duck, pork and pannacotta including the wine was fantastic. Parking was free as well by registering our licence plate with the hostess. Would definitely come back again!
Went for breakfast with my husband for our wedding anniversary breakfast. They are located inside Marriott hotel. The restaurant looks clean, the staff are nice and helpful. Price is reasonable. Good place to go if you’re looking for a nice, peaceful place that serves decent breakfast. May not recommend their breakfast buffet, unless you wanna binge on sausages,eggs, muffins and fruits. The Steak and eggs is good, but I like the egg white with turkey sausage frittata better and their smoked salmon is worth to try.
Don’t even have a cocktail there!. Very Disappointed. I stayed at the Marriott Vancouver Airport in March (2013) on my way to Montreal from San Francisco. I was looking forward to a nice dinner without leaving the premises… I should have ventured out!I started with a dirty martini that was in fact dirty… the olive juice they used was rancid (consider changing it out more than once a year). The rib-eye steak that was recommended by the bartender ( I ate at the bar) was the worst I’ve ever had (half an inch thick and over cooked – not hard to do when wafer thin!). My bill was almost $100 for one person! Could have eaten at a top notch steak house for that price!!I do not recommend American Grill at Marriott Vancouver Airport.
Tried their seafood chowder. It was made with rotten seafood and too much corn starch. Their meatloaf was awfully made with an unknown mix of meats and more starch. Their pudding can’t be considered a dessert or even food. Price is expensive and parking isn’t free. Definitely stay away
Not worth my time and money. Went there after purchasing Groupon. Salad was soggy, mostly lettuce cut up in little squares. Crab cakes were greasy with fibrous sprouts on the side that were not edible. Halibut burger was bearly lukewarm. Vegetarian pasta had overcooked pasta and vegetables, and it was tasteless. No Parmesan cheese was offered. Our server was very friendly but was short staffed so service was slow and it took a very long time for the plates to be removed after the food was done. Our meal would have been more than $60 without the Groupon, even at $45, it was absolutely not worth it. I don’t know how it was an award winning restaurant.
Run of the mill hotel ambiance…food was blahhh….ordered the osso bucco and wasn’t impressed….it was on the dry side…the osso bucco was served on a bed of butternut squash chunks that weren’t even cooked thoroughly…they were still crunchy! should have been cooked til tender. our server was really friendly and attentive. but with the food being the way it was, i won’t be back.
Best deal in town for rack of lamb. Have been here a couple of times. Once on a Travelzoo coupon. Excellent food for the value even without a coupon. The rack of lamb is one of the most generous in town and I will keep coming back for this. Service has always been good and very friendly. Definitely give it a try.
