Ordered $20 worth of bbq pork – the bbq pork was dry and hard. It was the worse bbq pork I have eaten. We called and spoke to them about it and the lady and the front was not curtious at all, saying it is our fault for not asking to look at it before… Will never go again!
Came here on a weeknight and it was quite busy. Was told it would be 20 mins for a table for two but only took about 10. Server was nice to give us the menu to look at while we waited. They serve lychee tea which is a nice touch..not like your typical Chinese restaurant. Was told the BBQ meats are popular here. There was a lot of tables ordering bbq meats as well as a lot of take out. The combination dinners also seem popular here.We ordered bbq pork and bbq duck on rice, wonton and duck noodle soup, and a shredded chicken chow mein. The bbq pork was pretty good. Not too fat and not too lean. The duck was OK..felt there was a bit of fat and the pieces with fat were too chewy and not edible. The noodle soup..was bit disappointing and looked better than it tasted. Soup was bland, noodles were too soft. Worst part, wontons were pretty bad..tasteless and didn’t look fresh. Chow mein was crispy but sauce was so thick you can see the cornstarch. Probably wont eat in again but may call for some bbq pork on rice for take out. Parking also can be a pain!!
The only reason i’m giving 1 star is becuz there is no 0 star option! The food quality is not the worst, hygiene is definitely an issue – i saw the waitress holding a bowl with her fingers touching the soup. The worst part is the SERVICE. if you walk in to order for take out, NO ONE will take your order. Apparently waitress cannot take take out orders, only the boss can – a woman who will never look up and never answer your inquiry. I stood in front of her for 6 minutes, and ended up had to make my order by calling their number becuz she will always answer phone orders… and the price they charge you will be really inconsistent – it will be different from their menu. if you question, she will tell you they changed their price. but i ordered the same thing for 3 times and got charged for 3 different price!! NEVER EVER COMING BACK!
poor service.Ordered take-out, she told us to go right away. Went there after 10 minutes, the food was not ready, waited another 15 minutes.Complained, she said cooking required time and did not expect us to go pick that up really right away.Btw, BBQ pork is more of a BBQ fat as more than 2/3 of each piece is fat, as shown in the picture
We tried the BBQ Duck, Soya Sauce Chicken YangZhou Fried Rice, and the Garlic Chinese Brocali. The BBQ Duck wasn’t roasted thoroughly, a bit raw on the meat, and the skin was soggy, not crispy. The Soya Sauce Chicken taste good, but was small (the same price as of the duck) and had a lot of small broken bones in the meat. The Fried Rice is dry, the bbq meat inside was probably 3 days old. The veggie, hard as rock.We went there in the evening and there were surcharges on top of the regular prices on the menu, which was written with small letters on the bottom of the menu, and the waitress did not tell you that when you order. Any way, we won’t be back.
July, 23, 2016I went there with relatives for lunch today. We tried their soya chicken, I can tell they reheat it with microwave for us plus bones more than meat, it’s not good as before now. We also had stired fried shrimp / bbq pork rice and wonton noodles in soup. Wonton are tasteless and look white color. Services are good…. but food quality still not good as before.December, 12, 2015Tried their wonton noodles in soup ( $7.50 / they used dried egg noodles, same as the one I bought at home); half soya chicken (not bad but bones more than meat $16); fried shrimp and eggs on flat rice noodles (full of msg and not enough eggs) ; their dishes are bigger than take out. Good services.September, 5Omg .. they charged me $1 more from their take out menu, for a bowl of small wonton noodles in soup. I bought it for my aunt who’s 80 years old. I found out after I reached my aunt place. The cashier said, the take out menu price is not include the container price. What the??!!
Combo with 3 kinds BBQ is worst. Today I went there to order a take out of combo with 3 kinds BBQ meal. It is terrible. All BBQ duck and pork are fat, not even a slice of meat on it. When I called them back about it, they said you should tell the chef you didn’t like fat meat. Well, if you do not tell them that, they will suppose you only like fat meat. And then, they didn’t wait me to answer, they hang up the phone right away. What a bad service! Scammer!
