We order agadashi tofu, gyoza, gomae and ramen.Tofu: the presentation was unusual. There were two giant chunks of tofu, each equivalent to 3 pieces. The taste was good and not too greasy.Gyoza: crispy at the bottom which we like. Perfectly cooked.Gomae: the dressing is unusual, like of lemony, it was ok.Seafood ramen: the broth tasted good and was milky. Noodles could be packaged, too soft to tell. But the after effects was aweful and what got the 2.0 rating. I felt a heavy MSG effect that could not have been dashi. That really spoiled the dinner. We’ve always considered Japanese food to be comfort food. MSG in the broth or fish pieces delivers the opposite of comfort.

Came here last week. I had the veggie miso ramen and a friend had the chicken ramen. It was pretty good, I recently travelled to Japan and have been missing ramen. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be able to taste true Japanese ramen anytime soon in Canada. But that does not mean that there was something wrong with this one. It was yummy, warm and satisfying. Had to wait awhile to get our bill but there was only one server on at the time and the restaurant was full so that’s totally understandable. My friend really liked her ramen 🙂

This place used to have the best sushi in town!! Lately however the standard have been sub-par. I ordered the chopped scallop roll and the scallop was hard because it was still partially frozen and the food took a long time to get to the table. Hopefully it will improve soon
