Great, affordable food and amazing service. The pulled pork macaroni and cheese was incredible. My boyfriend and I plan to make that our neighborhood pub going forward.
My favorite patio. I like to sit in the shade in their patio in the summer. The staff is awesome and gets the time to get to know you. They also host some great events like pride night.
Awesome Place!. Great pub atmosphere! Got to play a few games of pool with friends – had a appy at the start and the Ribs on specials where amazing! then had nachos and man they where big! The workers here clearly love their job! Highly recommend you take a visit to the place! 🙂
Used to be good and has now become the local degenerate bar….. Must be family run because all staff look (inter-related)… Food is crap! Prefab burgers… Cooks are dirty and walk freely out of kitchen and into dining area staring at customers awkward!
Not impressed with the rotten salad in my take-out. The food is subpar and overpriced for what you get (which is really just pub food). I’ve eaten there a few times now because it’s close to where I work and haven’t been impressed with the quality of their food for the high price. The last time I went (and last time I will) the salad they served was rotten. They just take no care in what they serve and my $12.32 wrap should’ve actually cost like $8 cuz the wraps at pita pit are far better and that’s all they cost. It came with a few bites of rotten salad so that’s what justifies the extra $4.32 I guess? In my opinion they should either hire a better cook or lower their prices if they want to stay in business.
Used to be good. I first started going to the met 12 years ago…when it was bigger, had bands playing..people having fun dancing etc. It had a warm feeling and never knew who you might meet….now it’s smaller, had to put in that stinking cold beer and wine store, menu is over priced, cooks are hit and miss.
Annual Attraction. I have been visiting New West once a year for the past 4 years and one of my favourite parts is my trek down to the Met. It’s not a fancy place but I never want a pub to be that way. What it is though is a wonderful gem, welcoming, friendly and one of those places you instantly feel at home in. Where sitting out in the back patio can easily turn into hours of great atmosphere, beer, and food. This year was fantastic as I discovered the Cajun pork bites which were perfectly seasoned and a nice size for $8. I also found my Grasshopper Beer replacement with the Hefeweizen…I ended up stopping in 4 out of the 9 days I was there and the consistency of the service, food and drinks were excellent each time. I also need to make an added kudos to the great mix of music playing and the fact that it was never blaring in your ears. If you live in New West I consider you very lucky and hope you enjoy this place. As for me I’m counting down the days till my next visit!
