2019/03/31We were in the mood for Indian food, and we found Chauhans Grill House & Banquet. Its a little bit out of the way, on a street that dead ends in an industrial/commercial area that would see little to no traffic evenings and weekends. I guess they didnt see the memo about location being one of the key contributors for restaurant success. By day its a restaurant, and it can also be used as a banquet hall when needed by moving partition walls out of the way. This evening the partition was closed and the dining area was set up for about 100. There was also an empty buffet section which is probably used at lunchtime. Only one table was occupied when we arrived after 6:30 pm. We decided to share two dishes. The first was Haryali Mirch Tikka ($15.99), which was white chicken meat, marinated in coriander, served on a sizzling platter. the chicken was very green from the marinade, tender, and tasty. The second dish was Butter Chicken ($15.99). Tender chunks of tandoori chicken, swimming in a rich tomato-based sauce. Since the two dishes did not come with rice, we ordered some rice and naan to go with the meal. We thought we were ordering plain rice, but it came with peas and some saffron. Later when we got the bill, I saw that we were charged $7.99 for Saffron Pulao, which was $3 more than the plain rice. So overall the food tasted good. However, I was a bit annoyed about the rice upcharge. Also the prices were $2 more than the menu on their website, which we had looked at before we arrived, and was part of the reason we chose this restaurant.
Chauhan Indian cuisine is the best restaurant which cooks Indianfood in thetraditional way. they have so many varieties of their dishes. Their chicken, goat and beef curries are awesome. Their naan bread is huge and fresh. Their food is healthy as well as fresh and tasty. dining services are very good. varieties of dishes in lunch buffet at a price of $11.99………………awesome restaurant for food lovers. I will visit this every week.
