Bubble tea has always been one of my favourite type of drink, and to find new shops that try and recreate the tea is fun to experiment. The Alley had various different and unique style of boba. They kicked up the original versions of the bobas you once know and turned it into their own. When I saw the menu, I thought how cute and adorable the names of each bubble tea was. I tried out the ‘Morning Dawn’ which came with another version named ‘Northern Lights’. The Morning Dawn consisted of green tea and mango, I believe. It didn’t come with any tapioca or jelly, but with ice. They put the drink in a 500ml bottle with a cap instead of your typical cup. These bottled drinks are one of their most unique idea they brought to the table. The other, Northern Lights, consisted of black current and some other ingredient I forgot, but came out to a purple-ish colour instead. There were many other varieties of bubble tea. I wished I could have tried them all out. The shop was pretty crowded and had long lines due to the space being small. So if you’re coming during winter weather, I hope you don’t freeze standing outside. Speaking of winter, there’s a drink on the menu named ‘Penguin On Ice’, hah I thought that was adorable. I’d like to go back and try that next time!
