I love the food at Sofra, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they produce some of the best Mediterranean food in the area. However, the rating is based on their overall service which, in my personal opinion, requires a lot of improvement. Most people when they go to a sit down restaurant would like to sit and enjoy. The staff as Sofra (maybe moreso the kitchen staff) do not understand the concept of time intervals. I always have to tell my waiter/ess that we are not in a hurry and that I will tell them when we’re ready, otherwise we get appetizers, salads and main courses within 10 minutes. Who can eat that quickly? There isn’t enough room on the table for all the plates! I don’t mind the push button Asian style service, but when I push the button I expect my server to arrive promptly and maybe with a smile instead of annoyance that I rang out to them. With a restaurant only half full, sometimes not even, they seem to be in a big rush to get rid of you. Let me enjoy your delicious food at a reasonable pace!
