Not too bad. OK, it’s a diner. I expect it to be like a diner with diner type food. I expect an older crowd and young families. I expect the prices of a diner and the wait times of a diner. Well, that is what it is. Nothing special but is good for the right type of diner experience. I really like the smoked meat sandwiches, my kids love the pasta. Can’t recall having anything really bad there. Service is usually pretty good.
Not that great!. My husband and I had dinner here and I was not impressed! Walking in, there was a smell… Not a food smell, but something else, I can’t figure out what it is. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 10 years, so I know food smells. Anyways, my veggies were cold and had a funny taste to them, as was my mashed potatoes! My husbands fries as well tasted funny. Anyways, that’s the last time I’m eating at any Angels Diner.
It was meh. I got the brownie (I’d already eaten but my friend wanted to go out) and I guess they made up my dish before they made my friends and so it got all soggy and the ice cream was half melted, the half that wasn’t tasted freezer burnt. To be fair my friend’s club looked good, but my dish was below par.
Bland, mediocre food. A lot of canned/pre-made ingredients. They also seem to be under-staffed, so you need to flag down a server if you need a drink, or to get your bill. Not a great experience on either of the two times we’ve visited.
Mixed Feelings. Burgers and fries, and the breakfast items are good. They seem to really specialize in corned beef or Montreal smoked meet, but every time I order a smoked meat sandwich, the meat is only warm, never really hot unless you order the Reuben which is grilled. I suggest the owners go to a Druxeys to see what a smoke meat sandwich is supposed to taste like.
Friendly staff, good portions for the prices. Appetizers seemed a little pricey.
