Exceptionally knowledgeable servers in regards to wine. Awesome food dishes. Everything is delicious. Best Caesar I’ve had in a long time!!
Great Customer Service. I just telephoned into have a table reserved at the Fat Duck. Not only was I treated to a pleasant conversation and accommodations of a last-minute working supper–I also felt appreciated by the staff for patronage. I’ve visited the Fat Duck before and this is a quality establishment that set itself above chain pubs with exceptional customer service.
Mixed Reaction. I have gone a couple times, and the food is absolutely fantastic! The burgers in particular are out of this world. However, whenever I have ordered anything other than a main course (added an appetizer, added a dessert) they take a ridiculously long time to prepare food. As in, waiting 25+ minutes for an ice-cream, or nearly an hour wait between appetizer and main course. If you stick with just a main course, you seem to avoid delays.
Many fond memories…. We’ve loved the atmosphere – it’s so great to have a neighbourhood pub. However, since we’ve been going for many years, I have learned to stick with what I like (smoked tea salmon, sweet potato fries), because there are things that just aren’t that good, especially for the price (shepherd’s pie, nachos spring to mind). You take your chances with the wait staff also; I had to ask a waitress 3 times for a coke recently, and each time she had no idea what I was going to ask her to get for me. Often the service is fine; I am not a person that likes to stuff food into my face and run away, so a slower-than-Swiss-Chalet response is quite pleasant to me. But, there can be no doubt after last valentines-followed-by-birthday experience, the duck is no longer going to be our regular spot; there are just too many disappointments to ignore.
Simply the best VINDALOO wings i have had.And for the varried choice of beers,i go for the KILLKENNY-large breweries cant invite quality to mass brews.I shall always find time for my fav wings and beers.
Not so great. I found the atmosphere very plane, just drywall walls makes it feel like a cafeteria. Lunch service was slow for my visit and the food was nothing special. not worth a re-visit in my opinion.
Food is pretty good. Portions can be small for some dishes.
