Bland. I’ve been eating pho for all my life and this is the first time I’ve had pho this bland. The broth was almost colourless and was not aromatic. Even my brother who likes just about everything said it was bland. I think the current owners/chef needs to revise the pho broth recipe. It tastes like water with a hint of flavor at the end. Service was amazing though. We were seated right away and the server was prompt.
Not the best Vietnemese in town. Had the vermicelli bowl with chicken and chicken spring roll. It was ok albeit a little greasy. Menu is different now than what is shown on this site. It is better now. The other meals we had were just ok as well.
This place is awful. First off, no liquor license. I like a Singha when I eat Thai. The crab wontons I had as an appetizer were gross and all I could taste was cream cheese. My wife’s XL vermicelli bowl was about 80% sprouts with some day old meat tossed around and my Red curry was mostly veg with very little chicken and my mouth was on fire by the time I was done. We were the only people in there … should’ve been our first clue!
Quality of food is inconsistent. I’ve been there 3 times now, and I still can’t decide how I feel about it. The first time I had assorted rolls and green curry. The rolls were excellent I thought, definitely didn’t taste like the frozen kind. Green curry was also decent, although a little watery for my taste. The second time I had curry noodles, which were alright, but with way to much curry paste. Finally, on my most recent trip there I got a red curry, which was terrible. It lacked flavor and was also watery. The service is also inconsistent. I probably won’t go back any time soon.
I like Golden Basil. I thinke it’s friendly and I feel relax and comfortable there.
Best pho in town. My girl friend and i went to eat there because we herd a lot of good things about this place. I had the pho and it was delicious. the service was quick and friendly. My girl friend had the bun bo hue and it looked good! i know what i will be having next time we visit. we also ordered a large spring roll dish and it was delish. the prices there is fair and the atmosphere is casual.
I used to order from here all the time but lately the food has been terrible. The traditional Thai or vietnamese food people usually order (eg pad Thai, pho soup) is terrible here. As well, every time I get delivery the order comes after two hours and the food is saugy and cold. Ive sent back almost all of my delivery orders from them. Lately I find that they’ve been burning a lot of food. The service is decent but honestly this place is not what it used to be. I went from eating here at least once a week to never eating here again
