On a day trip out this way we stopped for lunch here. We had to wait till 12 for the kitchen to open, but that was fine as the waiter was very nice and chatty, explaining how they smoke their own vodka for the Ceasar drink. I ordered a flat white and he asked me how I wanted it made, which was worrying, but it tasted alright. The second one I ordered though was terrible. We all had the Elk burger. It was tasty and juicy. It came with a decent side of BBQ chips.We decided to order a plate of Beignets to share since the burgers were filing but I love Beignets so couldn’t not order them. The waiter said there was five, so we shared a plate between three. They were bad, not like a light, crispy, tasty Beignet at all – more like stodgy doughnut balls. They were so tough and hard to cut through. The service was excellent here.
