Fantastic food and service. Tonight my wife and I decided to try this restaurant, we haven’t had dinner out in Guelph for quite a while. We were not disappointed. Friendly and attentive servers and the food was wonderful. We’ll be back!
They blame their customers for their mistakes.. I ordered my food for immediate delivery on Sunday night while studying for an exam. The confirmation email from just-eat told me that my food would arrive that night at 9:45pm. After a few hours, I was wondering what happened to my order, only to find out that the restaurant had closed for the night (at 10pm) and I had 4 missed calls on my cellphone. I called the next day when they opened at 5pm, and was told that the order I had placed was to be delivered the next day, even though the just-eat receipt said otherwise. I received my food at 5:30pm the day after I ordered it, and they blamed everything on me. I didn’t even receive any form of compensation AND they still forgot part of my order (a mango shake). I have used just-eat since 2010, and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. The food at Bollywood Bistro makes great food, but this whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. They have lost my business.
Do not order from here as they rip you off things they would give you in restaurant and charge the same price. We ordered a $60 meal through justeat.ca only to receive half of it and was told by the very rude and condescending manager that they charge extra for those things when ordering. Extra fro rice with curry, I have never been anywhere in my life that charged extra for the rice that goes with the curry meal. What we received was a liquid with meat chunks floating around in it, was more of a soup consistency than a curry. Very bad experience and service!
Fantastic. I have been to the Bollywood Bistro a few times since it opened and the food never ceases to impress me. The Samosa’s are absolutely fantastic, and my go to dish is the Shrimp Goa Curry which is absolutely to die for. It’s very very spicy, those with stomach ulcer problems might want to avoid this dish at all costs. The flavors are fantastic, the amount of shrimp is sufficient for the size of the dish and you can get rice with it which I advise mixing into the curry itself. All the shrimp have had their tails pulled, something other restaurants don’t do with their shrimp. Everything is served up nicely on the plate and it’s piping hot when it comes to you, something I can’t say many restaurants do when it comes to food being served straight out of the pan and oven. The price is a bit higher then most of the other local Indian restaurants but for the quality of the food you get I think it’s worth it. I have had no problems with the service either and overall the menu is very appealing for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

I have had MUCH better Indian elsewhere, but my girlfriend enjoys it here. Decor is tacky, prices a bit steep.
The ginger tea is fresh minced ginger with a side of real honey! The food.. Even better. We had the salmon tikka, Chana adrakki and Palau paneer. Everything was perfect.
