Food was great, customer service was dissatisfying.1) Went for lunch with friends & staff was super strict about ordering everything on only one sheet. Kind of dampens the mood when you come so eager to order everything, whenever you want, to your own flexibility.2) We were served by two staff members. The first escorted us to the table, brought the menus and served us our sit down drinks. Later during our stay, when I asked for around-the-table refills, a second staff member came by with a kettle of tea. Except when she came around expecting to fill to my cup, I kindly refused because she was refilling for tea and I wanted a refill for my hot water. She stared blankly at me and rebutted that they don’t serve hot water at this restaurant, as if reassuring me that I had lied, was incorrect, and couldn’t possibly had been drinking hot water for the first hour and a half of my stay.
One of the few AYCE sushi spots in the Yonge Finch area. My Sushi is a bit hidden away in a plaza located indentured beneath trees across from Buk Chang Soon Dofu. The place itself is real small, as well as for the menu (for lunch at least). We came for a weekend lunch, which will run you $14.99. Pretty good price with good food and good service. The sushi here is pretty solid and I don’t really understand all the tough reviews. I found them to give a pretty nice fish-rice ratio here for the sushi. The rolls were a bit different as they did use quite a bit of rice for the few rolls that we did order. The Rainbow Rolls and the Spicy Crab Rolls were not as good as hoped, but the sushi was. The salmon and red tuna sushi were great. The hot foods were OK. There were not a lot of choices for the hot food or appetizers. They had miso soup but seaweed salad and short ribs (AYCE sushi favorites of mine) are only available for dinner so I was a bit disappointed. The fried rice and noodles were good though. They also have some decent items like steak teriyaki and BBQ eel.I will say that the lunch menu is a bit smaller than most places, but their dinner menu is right up to par with the rest. The prices are a tad cheaper than most places which is nice considering it’s not as dirty looking as most other places. I would make my way back especially if you’re in the area as there aren’t many AYCE sushi choices around anyways. cheatdayeveryday.com
1h wait for 7pcs of sashimi side of rise and 2pcs of tofu $60 owner rude, incoherent & lack of knowlegment in the food industry. Server brought twicet The wrong order, after 30minutes finally we got part of the order: Sashimi 7pcs side of rice and tofu order of 2 pieces This is all we got in 60 minutes but owner (keep saying is ready) but nothing was coming out of the kitchen but excuses is busy when only were 2 customers in the entire restaurant, we try to cancel the whole order but still we were charged $60 dollars I personally would think twice before trying this restaurant because 7pcs of fish n rice doesnt cost $60 bucks, but no all is bad news, YOU WANT A BETTER CHOICE FOR ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI TRY WAKAME IS LOCATED IN BATHURST AND SHEPPARD GOOD LUCK GUYS ….
