Quoique le service soit excellent, la cuisson du steak n’est pas fiable. Pour un steak, j’irais ailleurs. Surtout que c’est quand mme un peu cher.Je viens de recevoir un appel du propritaire qui m’a retrac. Il a utilis un ton dfensif et voulait argumenter avec moi. Je lui ai expliqu que son personnel de service est excellent, et que j’aurais accept volontiers de retourner son restaurant (mais pas pour un steak). Mais la discussion avec lui ayant t dsagrable, c’est cause de lui que j’ai maintenant une exprience rellement ngative et que je veux plus retourner son restaurant.
Eric our server was fantastic. Welcoming and personable, he took the time to clearly describe some menu items. Started with grilled calamari and had a fabulous assortment of Portuguese meats. Eric recommended a superb wine Irrevente, a spicy wine from the Beiras region. Seated close to the terrace facing the bustling energy of the boulevard, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the beautiful summer evening!
We were 3. Two of us had steak and one braised beef. We ordered one house salad, one grilled octopus and one soup of the day as appetizers. Only the soup was served. They forgot the other two appetizers. We were told that the beef was served with sauted potatoes it came with a terrible rissotto that had no place with braised meat and gravy. The waitress had no clue of the menu and she even tried to blame us for the misunderstanding ! Ordinary food, bad service. Too $ No thanks.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was very good, attentive and informative. Try the Caesar salad, grilled calamari for apps. Very good rib steak, flank steak and mixed grill. And the Portugese tarts for dessert are amazing. We were in town for the Grand Prix and will definitely return for dinner next trip.
A Very Good Find. My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Thursday night. We had limited time due to another engagement so we asked the waiter if he could expedite our orders as quickly as possible. We ordered appetizers as well as main dishes and we were in and out in about an hour. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered pasteis de bacalhao with rissois and fried calmars. The pasteis and the calmars were amazing. The rissois we OK. For the main dishes we had chicken and the mixed grilled plate. Both were excellent, the chicken was extremely juicy. Price versus quality and quantity is decent.
Best calamari I’ve tasted on or off the island of Montreal. I took the silva entree dish for four and everything was extrodinary! I had the rib steak cook to perfection (MR) my wife took a table d’hote which was a Portuguese dish with cod fish piccolo patatoes with eggs onions virgin oil, it was amazing my kids shared the portuguese chicken and bifana and loved it portions were amazing service was wonderful a nice hot spot! A little far from laval although o was recommended this restaurant an will return!!!! Great wine selection had a Sicilian wine ( montalto) I give grillade silva 5 stars!!!!!
