Lunch options are scarce in this part of Macul, but He-Yi seemed like a decent option over the pollo a las brasas and completo scene. The restaurant itself is huge, they have a stage area in the back for what looks like hosting events, and there’s even a little pond inside the restaurant with huge gold fish. For such a huge place there weren’t that many customers, maybe we had just missed the lunch rush. Our waiter was speedy, and professional, and we got our order quite quickly. We decided to go with the sushi side of the menu and ordered a sushi lunch menu for two, which came with an order of gyoza and two rolls to split. The quality of the salmon wasn’t the worst I’ve seen but the avocado on top was clearly not at all fresh. The rolls were also not well made as they fell apart almost immediately as I tried to pick them up, and I’m no amateur with chopsticks. Should have expected it ordering sushi from a chinese place.
