About
Prva ustanova koja se spominje u Krku, i to 1763. godine pod imenom Caffettaria, je upravo naa dananja kavana. Poznati engleski arhitekt i pisac G. Jackson, koji je u Krku boravio 1866., kae da se u Gradskoj vijenici na trgu prizemno nalazi kavana. Ona je tu sve do danas. Knjige o povijesti grada Krka, tada Veqlie, kau da je austrijski car Josip dao nalog da se u Krku otvori gradska kavana kako bi se car kad sa svojom pratnjom doe na Krk u lov imao gdje odmoriti i popiti kavu. Takoer se spominje da je to prva kavana na ovim prostorima poslije Bea. U to vrijeme obian puk nije mogao ui u kavanu nego samo bogati i utjecajni ljudi tog vremena. Nudimo vam ponudu raznih pia i koktela, te bogatu ponudu raznih slastica kao to su sladoledi, sladoledni kupovi, torte i kolai.Details

Croatian’s don’t like their coffee hot. So it was nice to find a coffee shop that made it just the way I like it (ie. hot and large). Just my own preference??Nice free friendly service as well with convenient loo.
Very nice interior,old,must really be from 18th century,the walls are arched very nicely,well restaurated,a really cozy place.Very good coffee and pastries,outside seating also provided.
Delicious and giant sundae, tasty cake and coffee. Friendly place near the harbour. Everyone can find a favorite sweetness. ???☕️?
