What does "tou Bakali" mea? Tou Bakali is still translated in Greece the "mom and pop shop" today. It is the small shop "around the corner" which offers daily fresh products for sale. "Tou Bakali" is usually in Greece at the main square or the main street of a town. The decor is very minimalist, limited to the furniture, Greek wooden chairs and rectangular wooden tables; the walls are often whitewashed. Sporadically pictures hang on the walls.
