The restaurant’s ambience was really pleasant whole the tonkatsu ramen that I got was absolutely amazing and I do not think I’ve had better ramen in India. The employees were polite and cordial.
Hidden Gem as said by other reviewers.. they don’t need the outside clientele really much because they have enough actual Japanese guest. You forget that you’re India for a sec. The food makes you rethink why are you eating anything else aside from Japanese food. Exquisite dining there lads.
Such a hidden Japanese gem and that too for a good reason. Order anything here and you would love it. The Tempura Prawns here are something you’d come back for and the pork katsu curry just screams comfort. Same is the case with their fresh sushi, ramen bowls and salads. Their cafe serves these yummy desserts that just complete your meal with perfection. To top it all, the price just makes you gleam with joy after the meal ends.
The hotel does not seem too interested in welcoming customers. A gentleman Mr. Om Prakash turned us back simply because we were parking the car in front of a hotel at a designated parking space which was empty. When we shared that’s fine we will leave, he said it’s okay, it’s anyways not an Indian hotel. We called up the duty manager and shared what happened, he didn’t have the courtesy to ask us to stay. We went to another place,no point going to places where the staff is so condescending towards their customers. Bad experience, we will definitely not go back again.
We started our meal with a sashimi platter. The fish was really fresh and the scallop had a nice sweet taste. For mains we ordered the Pork Ramen, Yaki Udon and Kirishi. Tasted good though I wish they had more meat. Once we asked for the Japanese menu we realised it had a lot more choice. The prawn tempura was perfectly crisped and the pork in the gyoza was succulent. So helpful tips for the first timers would be to ask for the Japanese menu and order just one noodle dish to share. The noodles dishes are a lot of noodles with not enough meat.
Had excellent miso soup along with prawn tempura and veg tempura. They were very good. Ambience is nice filled with Japanese expats. I especially loved all their sushi. California rolls and salmon rolls were excellent too. Nice place.
This place emulates the ambience and hospitality of a typical Japanese restaurant. My review is restricted to vegetarian food and I was not disappointed on this front at all.The serving portions are bite sized and one needs to order up quite a few items of you have a good appetite. But then again, that’s how the concept of serving Japanese food works (or so I’m told). While I’m not the ideal person to judge the authenticity of the taste, I can draw some references where in the food had a hint of ‘Indian’ flavour. But then, nothing to complain about. Overall a good place and one on my shortlist for Japanese food.
