We have visited this place for dinner last monthFood options are limited here. Kabab taste was ok could be better. Ambience is just ok but whole decorations theme give dull feeling.
Good ambience, very good service, nice preparation, overall a pleasant experience. Will suggest to enjoy tasty biryani along with some non veg preparation. The quantity served is more than sufficient for two members. So quite economical as well
The Kabab Express – a huge disappointmentAn outlet which we had been seeing while going towards Saharaganj Mall, an outlet inside the famous Carlton (a popular hotel in Lucknow in the past, but which shut down operations in the beginning of 2000 CE) a beautiful heritage property with large open spaces which even after a part of the property being sold out to Saharaganj Mall is huge is by any standards; the Kabab Express is something we decided just randomly. Please note this Kabab Express has no connect with Celebrity Chef Jiggs Kalara’s outlets. It is a venture of the same group which runs the Indus Restaurant right next to Badshah Nagar Station, Genesis Club on Kursi Road and Cassia at Shah Najaf Road – yes the same Cassia which has different pricing tags for male guests and female guests i.e. if we go as a family I would pay less amount as I am a female and my spouse and my son would pay higher charges as they are male though we might eat the same thing in Lunch. The outlet is small, located right inside the entrance, it has a take away counter next to the entrance. The outlet has outdoor (among a small enclosed green area) and indoor seating area. The décor is café like, shows sign of non-maintenance, the big glass windows giving the view of the outside give the feeling of openness. They have ample parking space if you want to sit in and eat.The food options are limited. What we ordered: Chicken Tikka Lababdar with Roomli Roti and Ulta Tawa Parantha, Murgh Tikka Murgh Tikka was not exciting, the chicken was way to dry and was heavy on spices. Chicken tikka lababdar was not cooked properly and had this chewy uncooked consistency. Overall we regretted coming down to this outlet and in all probabilities would never come back again. What we liked: the ambiance, the décor, the parking spaceWhat we disliked: the food, the pricing for the sub standard food Rating:Ambiance: 3 out of 5 Location: 4 out of 5 Food & Beverages – 2 out of 5 amanjul.wordpress.com
