The chickrn was funky. It smelled offWhen I told them about they tried to offer me a biriyani and we’re not taking any responsibility for the chicken. I know chicken that has gone bad. They didn’t seem to get the point that somebody could get seriously sick from this place.
I choose Moti Mahal when I craved for something Indian cuisine. It is located in Food court, Pacific mall, Dehradun.I ordered Veg deluxe thali which included paneer kulcha, pyaz kulcha, Dal makhni, Shahi paneer, mix veg, raita, salad, rice, gulab jamun and coke. I really enjoyed food. Quality of food was good and quantity was satisfactory too.
After a day of hard work, I wanted a breather for my wife and myself by ordering from Moti Mahal; since it is quite reputed. In the name of dal makhani, all we got was a pot of lentils with overload of chilly powder, same goes for the accompanying paratha. A concoctuon that burnt through the throat to the stomach. What a way to end the day isn’t it?Moti Mahal should stop calling themselves a restaurant and stop living on their false pillars of legacy. The chefs and the cooks go get some training or two and learn to make a decent meal. I want my money and the last one hour back for ordering garbage.
Pacific’s food court is known for its extra expensive outlets and the reason is obvious- the location! Every time when I crave for something Indian or Mughlai cuisine, I had to choose either Andaaz-e-Lucknow or Amritsari. The food is quite costly here and even the portion size is very less. 500 would be minimum you will be spending for food in these outlets. Well, not anymore! Found this new outlet in the mall this weekend and thought to give a try. We ordered one thali that has butter chicken, chicken biryani, 3 pieces of butter naan and salad with chutney. The thali was more than enough for two people and the taste was above what we expected. This thali with good portion size and pieces of chicken costed us just 309 Rs and we were more than satisfied having selected this one for our lunch. 5 stars from my side! rashmikanti.wordpress.com
