Been this place once ordered pork and lamb. Service was not as welcoming as prior review saysgolden potato looked really attractive but all potatoes in my order were undercooked lamb were drygravy was a bit strange. I think this place is overrated and not recommended.
Ive had very hit and miss experiences at Sams roast. I have to say when it first opened, portions were great, meat was tender and veges were always cooked perfectly. My last visit let me down a little, as my lamb was super dry despite being drenched in gravy, the potato was cold and the gravy had a weird taste to it – tasted like a very familiar spice that shouldnt be in gravy.Probably wouldnt be back – competitors are slightly better IMO.
Putting my enjoyment for eating Sam’s Roast into words is a difficult task, as the food is above and beyond expectations.But, even though there food is incredible! The thing that makes Sam’s Roast stand out from your everyday other store is the people behind the counter. If it is the owner or his lovely family they all greet with a happy smile and almost seem too excited to serve you. This is a breath of fresh air in the hospitality business as I feel this talent has been somewhat lost. Other shops around the area should take note as not only there food but the sweet hands that make the food is what makes me coming back.
There must be something in the recipe that makes Sam’s Roast stand out; and trust me, it’s worth giving a try. With welcoming and passionate owners so full of joy and friendly, it is clear that they add a dose of love in the food they make that makes us come back for more.The wide range of meats and vegetables taste brilliant and are cooked just right. It all comes together in excellent harmony with the rich gravy. The portions are just more than perfect.I just love my visits to Sam’s Roast, the flavoursome foods and the caring customer service work well for a good experience in store and when I’m eating!
Have been going to Sam’s Roast Place for well over a year, I have never had anything short of excellent meals from them, the meat no matter what you choose, is always moist and delicious, vegetables are never dry, portions are huge, the service is excellent, and the owners are delightful! Real value for money, I cannot recommend them enough!
