Tasty filling portions, a friendly chilled atmosphere, $4 for a flat white + the best playlist of any cafe in NZ make this the prime place for a coffee break in Rotorua. The mound of wedges, with cheese, bacon, salsa and sour cream for $11.50 is perfect for a winter day.
Poor attitude from waitress on entering the cafe. Ordered 2 coffees, 3 breakfasts. The food was delicious but both coffees were burnt. Returned 1 coffee, waitress questioned me. Gave us another 1 which was really nice but waitress’ attitude was still poor. I am a local that is usually very fond of Zippys but today I felt very disappointed and won’t be returning for a while.
Lovely wee cafe on the main strip and quite busy for 7am. Full of locals coming to pick up their coffee. Large breakfast menu with very reasonable prices. Friendly welcoming staff. The coffee was delicious, so easy to drink and a lovely breakie.
Great food, huge servings, amazing coffee. Service was friendly and prompt. A great place for breakfast or just to grab a strong and well made coffee.
Lovely ambience, great staff and customer service. I highly recommend their BLAT! It’s just amazing i couldn’t fault it. Coffee is absolutely great as well. If you’re visiting rotorua and looking for a place that’s affordable yet offers great food go to zippy’s. Every dollar is worth it!
Bit of an institution here in Rotorua. Staff are friendly and professional. The food is standard cafe fare and very enjoyable. There is a long list of bagel combos available although I have never selected those. Good coffee. Not a bad breakfast spot.
Great friendly staff and the pricing of their menu seems more reasonable than its neighbour cafe!We’ve all blown away by the gourmet cafe main menu. We ordered a total of 3 mains (please check out my photos), decent proportion and a very strong homie kitchen delicious flavours.Very delighted to have tried Zippy Central cafe during our quick stop by.
