We turned up without a booking but they were able to find us a table. I ordered my Dixie Chicken again but there was too much sauce and it wasn’t its usual deliciousness. The other downside of too much sauce was that my chips got soggy. The rest of the group were pretty happy with their meals. The ribs were tender but not very Smokey. The quesadillas were quite spicy.
Definitely a place for a good banter or a family outing for a nice dinner. Ordered the ribs which is a classic dish for those who can’t decide what to get from the menu.

My meal was delicious; other than the mashed potato I ordered incorrectly replaced with chips. No problem getting that resolved. However, I was in a large group and several meals didn’t arrive. In order for things to be resolved satisfactorily; a bit of a fuss was raised. Meanwhile; I had other friends at another prebooked table that they didn’t get to sit at until two hours after their booking. Their meals also went astray. Nothing offered for their experience. I called and spoke to one of the duty managers about the meal a couple of days later as the thing that concerned me the most; was that new staff were blamed. Which was the same excuse I got over 18 months earlier when a similar situation occurred; again nothing was offered other than an apology. After 18 months this is hardly inexperienced staffing that’s the problem- it’s Managements’. Thanks for my phone call was received plus the promise of a phone call from the restaurant manager. Didn’t happen. I’m not going back to this branch again; neither is anyone else from either of the tables again. Very disappointed with the service, lack of follow up, inconsistent resolution of problems (it appears you actually have to be rude to get some kind of recompense for things going spectacularly wrong) and Management’s inability to get things right.
Lone Star is an excellent restaurant. Kid friendly and great food range. I love how the kids menu comes with a free drink and dessert. The only down side is that the food can take awhile to arrive.
Went here for dinner tonight service was very good and I really enjoyed the bean dip and tortilla chips as well as the prawn star meal but I ordered the chicken burrito and didnt really enjoy the chicken burrito which was disappointing as I’ve been to the lone star hundreds of times over the years and have never once had a bad meal there
