Its one helluvah goodness feels! Happened to visit, Big Daddy J’s All American BBQ weeks ago. The place looks exactly the same, the last time I visited.. about almost 2 yrs ago. From the place to its food, its consistent. Their Original Half Slab Ribs @ P475 is still tender and tasty as it is. It is served with 2 side dish of your choice. We had baked baby potatoes with herb. And we also ordered, Buffalo wings (P6 pcs for P190). Its mild spicyVerdict: their ribs are just so tender and I love it! Still, a must try! Worth the visit

The taste and tenderness is definitely there in the ribs. The meat has a good smokey taste with tangy barbecue and a mild spiciness. But at the end of the day, I cannot justify the price point of Php 225 for a solo meal that only has a small piece.

If you’re looking for honest to goodness home smoked ribs, then this is the place to be. It’s not the typical faux ribs smothered in sweet sauce Filipinos are known for. True American ribs at its finest, best enjoyed with their tangy barbecue sauce – it’s actually great on its own. Unlike typical ribs, this place serves it with tons of meat (not just bones) and a layer of fat charred to perfection. I was also surprised to discover the buffalo wings was so good too – even if we stayed for hours in this place and ate the wings last minute it still maintained its crunch despite being tossed in sauce. Ribs are perfect with the mixed veggies – not the frozen kind. Freshly cooked and stir fried in butter. Would I go back here again? Most definitely.

I pass by this shop every single day and all these years it had made me curious of what their offerings were. Luckily Zomato gave me a sneak peak, and it got me even more curious because of the high rating. The location is very near P. Tuazon Blvd, but the shop doesn’t face the main road. You have to enter 17th avenue, but you can’t miss it. It’s just 2 houses away from the corner.I came in on a weekday evening, a little before 7pm. There was a woman at the counter who immediately attended to me. Well, the fact was, I was the only guest at that time, so she should. I asked if there’s a meal for 1 person, she suggested the solo plate which costs a reasonable 190 pesos.I wasn’t in a hurry, so I patiently waited. I actually saw the meat cooked at the grill outside. I didn’t really time it but I got my solo plate, maybe 15 minutes after. The meat was very tender. It had a nice texture and it was easy to chew. I’m used to sweet ribs, but the profile was more on the smokey side, and it wasn’t bad. This was accompanied with herbed rice and baby potatoes. They also had gravy that complimented well, the downside was, they served it cold.Only one staff attended to me, but she was on her toes the whole time. She was friendly too. I asked her what was the guest trend like, and she informed me that they’re really strong during lunch time and weekends. There was a male staff who grilled the meat, and he patiently cooked the ribs to perfection. The place is a bit dim, and the tables and chairs were not too fancy and quite uncomfortable. Seating capacity is pretty much around 20pax. Airconditioning of the area is pretty good though.I’d say I had a really good experience. I’d visit again but I need to cut down on the pork. Maybe I’ll try their Chicken wings next time.

Gave a 4 for the place.Wasn’t expecting to have a place like this so close to my apartment. A little small if you’re a big group, since it seems a little limited in terms of space. Cozy and intimate and honestly, quite relaxing. The place is very accessible, just have yourself by the corner of P. Tuazon and 17th Ave. and you’re at Big Daddy Jay’s.Litimed parking space, unless you want to park by the side of the already narrow 17th ave.Had to rush for this review. Food review will be updated soon.

Price on menu needs a lil bit updating.. Waiting time is at least 20mins for the ribs..id suggest to add up an appetizer on the menu to alleviate the waiting time. Ribs was okay..A little burnt though.. And kinda did not live up to expectations.. But, Buffalo wings was a winner!!

Well I came here for the ribs, and it did not disappoint. It’s very tender and tasty. I also ordered buffalo wings which taste good as well. The place was a bit small, while the Staffs are efficient.
