I first stopped at the Luna Skybar in this hotel enjoying a drink, then from there still waiting for Roberto’s restaurant to open where I had a reservation for dinner. I stayed in the lounge enjoying a small bite and some drinks. This is a very nice hotel and a good place to relax and soak up the luxury. winedineandplay.blogspot.com

Super Cozy and one of the most well designed venues in Dubai. Ice tea is super delicious. Ambiance is number one there. I would suggest designers of the most Palm JUMEIRAH VIllas to go there and get some ideas for the million dollar villas at least. Cool place. One of my favorite now.

With Ramadan round the corner, there are Iftar menus being finalised and people planning their iftars well in advance. Well, here is a completely and absolutely classy and practical Iftar in Penrose lounge. It’s called the Iftarnoon Tea and is a high tea based Iftar concept. I am fully for it as it is a great way to catch up with loved ones for Iftar minus the guilt of over eating or wasting food. The Iftarnoon tea starts with Dates & Nuts to break the fast and is followed by a selection of cold mezze – the all time favourites that include Hummus, Moutabbal, Muhammarah, Stuffed Vine Leaves and Arabic Pickles. We had Arabic breads served with this. All of the cold mezze are very good and the dips are extraordinary ! There were scones and cream served as well and I should say the scones were extremely fresh. Only wishes the cream was thicker clotted cream, would have gone very well. Then followed the hot mezze and tea sandwiches. There was a mini lentil soup, beef kibbeh, lentil kibbeh, mini chicken shawarma and falafel slider. My favourite from this one was the lentil kibbeh and all the other mezze and sandwiches were extremely fresh and tasty as well. The kibbeh are served on a bed of sauce that only adds to the taste. Then there is selection of unique sweets that include some traditional arabic sweets, a date and goat cheese roll, macarons, praline choux and lemon meringue. My favourite from these was the Lemon Meringue. I should say that this is a great concept and promotes a great idea of having Iftars with loved ones in a simple yet classy manner.

this is what i call a lounge, though not large in size but the mood is so refreshing. excellent service, friendly staff. I tried the desserts, just great options for a dessert and coffee.

    (a) #quinoasalad (AED 60) at @fsdubaidifc #penroselounge – Healthy salad made of quinoa, toasted pumpkin seed, chia seed, avacado, pomegranate and cherry tomato. Rich in taste and feel good to your body. Super loved it so my PmP rating is 5*, (b) #ummali #dessert (AED 50) @fsdubaidifc #penroselounge – Umm Ali is very popular arabic dessert which can be found in any restaurants. This is nothing but a bread pudding but includes rose scented bread, kataifi pastry and vanilla icecream. So good that I would love to give my PmP rating of 4.5*.

I came here for afternoon tea once and thought it was simply lovely. It has quite a feminine decor, and is very upscale and comfortable. I’ll be combing back here for sure.

As a lounge, its good for a small business discussion as its quiet, has limited options on The menu. However, the presentation is worthy of the four seasons brand.
