The worst experience ever. If i had the option i wouldn’t have given any stars. When we entered the restaurant there was no one to guide us. We stood there for 10mins & finally i went to someone there, he said we are busy & there is 10 people waiting. I asked him why no one informed us he said we are busy. Please dont go to this place where there is no respect to customers.

I ordered two fish curry meals from this restaurant yesterday and loved them. All the accompaniments were tasty and fresh. Even the dal, though simple, was delicious. One of the accompaniments was tomato pachadi (I think) that I tried for the first time and it was tasty too. Looking forward now to visit the restaurant to enjoy other fare on offer and see their houseboat interiors up close.

Yas was a surprising and accidental find; and it was and is still quite difficult to associate the name Yas with their interiors, which they have done really well, resembling a typical Kerala village scenario and even a houseboat. Had gone for a takeaway the first time. And another time, we happened to go there for lunch, on a weekday, and I had my heart set on trying their Chicken biriyani, that was happily served to me on a banana leaf with ample sides and even a payasam! And whats the most different thing about them, is they serve you kanji vellam (or rice soup) as a welcome drink. Their lunch meals are served on banana leaf as well and loved their fish fry! Priced moderately, I wouldn’t really say that they serve the best biriyani, but not bad; those who love a lot of masala in their biriyani would love it, especially with a subtle sweetness.

We have ordered Chapatis and Gobi manjurian for dinner. Chapatis were okay however the manjurian was horrible, it was tooooo sour we couldn’t eat the dish at all. Highly disappointed with the first order.

Small place, but great interiors & songs give a nostalgic feeling. Food is also good. Especially the vazhayila meals, fish fry & biriyani. Biriyani got a different flavour compared to the usual ones we get in other restaurants in this category. The pricing also is very economical. Recommended!!!

Perfect ambiance for a family dining. Very nostalgic. Ordered chicken Nadan curry, appam and Kerala parotta. Perfectly cooked and the staffs were very polite.
