Nice ,,but,,,. Had a meal tonight. 6 of us,,, food good ,,,setting good,,,wine good ,,,,but sat by fire ,,not lit ,,,radiators not on and some tv screen the other side of the pub with a picture of flames?…..as its February some heating would be nice. It was warmer in the porch as we left,,,,,,may come again in the summer

John at the ship was brilliant in recommending the lamb and gammon, we also had the steak and fish pie, the atmosphere was great, our party really enjoyed the meal. We will be going back again. If you like good food then you need to go the ship, best food for miles around.

Great Place!. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, staff very friendly but more importantly the food is excellent – top class restaurant quality at sensible prices….making me hungry just thinking about it!!
Great pub. Always look forward to going to the Ship. Love the lamb and the fish pie. Puddings to die for. Staff make you very welcome and are helpful and friendly.
Go for the SHIP. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, superb food at easy on the pocket prices, great staff – what more do I want?
