At The Dukes we believe in traditional, excellent formal service while creating an atmosphere that is casual, friendly & unpretentious. We offer high standards, quality ingredients, real ales, cocktails & home cooking. The Dukes is a Georgian thatched property built in 1736, originally 2 cottages and converted into a pub 10 years later. The main bar has 2 areas separated by the fire place that once separated the 2 cottages. The newer conservatory restaurant offers romantic dining & a menu which is prepared fresh to order. We host lots of events, such as birthdays, weddings, funerals, meetings, trainings, classes, fundraisers & more because we never charge for room hire. We believe a public house should be free for the public to use.
