This place is at the corner of the lovely bermonsey street and looks like a decent go to pub for the locals, It doesnt have any wow factor to attract you. I was just passing this placeand noticed some poker tournament they have it from Thursday to Sunday which really caught my eye being a poker fan. They have a deal with the Pub owner where they play poker for around 2 hours have about 2 tables at one corner of the pub and you need to order something from the pub and have a buy in of about7 pounds to play. I found this as a very interesting and very intriguing way of attracting customers. The bar is managed by a lovely woman who makes sure that you have a good time and is very informative and helpful with the drinks. It seems like a pretty popular with the regulars and most of the people in this pub where mostly people whom the owner or the bartender knew. They have a good variety of beer on the tap and is priced really well. The music is mostly old school which adds to the charm of the entire place and from time to time there is a bit of sing Along which makes the place really lively.I would recommend this place for a quick drink or if you are fond of Poker its a must visit place. They also have a bit of rugby slots and darts.
Looks sick from the outside, inside is pretty straightforward but you can get a Doom Bar and settle down nicely in this wee boozer.Lager you’re looking at a Becks, Cider – the usual suspects.Bangin Roast Turkey crisps, would recommend.Bring cash, 50p charge on card.
